rarely we can find this kind of show. for me, desperate housewives is like the combination of how i met your mother+csi+the bold and beautiful+that's so raven+glee+gossip girl+lost+90210+las vegas+ etc etc. hahaha. maybe i exaggerated a little bit but it's true. it's so damn true.
the reason why i post this entry actually is because i want to share with you guys the episodes that seriously will make u cry like hell. these episodes are called the disastrous episode which means there are disasters happened in those particular episode.
these are the disaster episodes:
1.
the first ever disaster episode is the 7th episode "Bang" which was aired during the 3rd season. u can guess why it was a disaster by only reading the title of the episode. lemme summarize this episode. there's a franchised superstore (something like walmart/giant/tesco) , and the owner/boss of that particular franchise was having an affair. so her wife(picture) eventually find out and want to kill the husband. unluckily the husband locked out himself at his office while several customers didn't make it to run out from this lady. so the customers became the hostages and for sure, there's so many dramatic scenes and i find this episode quite a little bit like criminal minds/ncis . and for sure it made me burst into tears. this is the first ever episode in DH that made me cry.
2.
the second one is from season four's 9th episode "Something Coming". as you can see, there's a tornado. luckily we lived in malaysia we do not experience tornadoes or hurricanes. the tornadoes destroyed several houses on wisteria lane and only few minor characters were died. i rated this episode 5 star because i was impressed by the scriptwriter/producer/creator's idea to make this episode. and again, for sure i cried.
3.
next, the third disaster episode is from season five's "City on Fire". actually, not the city was on fire. but actually it was a bar/nightclub in the city. but before that, i want to share another interesting fact of the show. at the end of season 4, it was revealed that the show will have a five year jump. which means during season 4(which was aired in between 2007-2008) and makes the five year jump to be in 2013. so the time setting for the season 5 of DH was set in 2013. how cool was that? and as for the latest season which is season 7 they are actually living in the year 2017.
ok back to the episode "City on Fire", all the characters in DH were apparently attending a band competition where all the husbands of the wives participated but unluckily when the fire spread out it was too late to run out from the building. plus, there was some problems in which the doors/entrances were locked up before the competitions began. so they had some difficulties to run out from the building. and it was so tragic .
4.
it was a Christmas eve on wisteria lane. and all of the members of the neighborhood gathered around to celebrate their annual christmas party. and this disaster episode is from season 6's 10th episode "Boom Crunch". as you can see in the picture above, there's a plane. this plane actually was rent by a man named Karl. Karl want to propose to Bree by the plane holding a banner up in the air written "Bree, will you marry me?" . unluckily, the pilot suddenly encountered a heart attack and died and nobody controlled the plane which resulted the plane to lose control and crash on the place where the party was held. almost everyone survived but unlucky Karl was died.
and for the record, the reasons why i cried for all these disaster episodes just because of Lynette Scavo. her story lines during all the tragic episodes were so damn traumatic.
Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo |
during the first disaster episode "Bang", she was one of the hostages. the mad lady apparently shot a woman called Nora, which was Lynette's rival. although Lynette dislikes Nora so much, but when it comes to an end like this, she felt so sorry and Nora died.
during the tornado, Lynette was not with her family due to searching a missing cat. her family was hiding inside a neighbor's basement while Lynette hide inside a bath tub in her own house. when the tornado move over to another place, Lynette found out that the house that her family hiding in was completely destroyed by the tornado. she encountered a nervous breakdown and felt like she has nobody else but luckily, her family was hiding in the basement so they saved.
during "City on Fire", her son Preston was plead guilty burning the bar. she, as a mother defended her son like hell. i was extremely touched by her actions in order to do everything to make sure her son is not guilty because it's what a mother do; to protect their children.
and lastly, on "Boom Crunch" Lynette was pregnant with twins. and at the moment she had some issue with Gaby and they were in a big fight. Celia, who is Gaby's daughter was actually almost hit by the crashed plane and luckily Lynette was there and grabbed Celia and fell down somewhere. unluckily, one of Lynette twins had some complications and need to be operate. the one with complications died while the other one saved.then Lynette and Gaby were cool as Gaby felt so grateful Lynette was there to save Celia's life and Lynette felt so sorry because she lied to Gaby and Carlos. when Lynette lost one of her twins, it was a very sad moment.
and actually there is another disaster episode in season 7. but the thing is, for the time being i am watching season 6. season 7 is a long way to go. and after finished watching desperate housewives, i'm planning to watch how i met your mother season 6, glee season 2, gossip girl season 3&4 and omg there's a lot more shows that i need to catch up.
phew! it's quite a long post i ever made. idk when i'm passionate about something, i become extravagantly energetic and i just don't know why. ok, till then bye~
